Susan Palace                                     ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Classes are taught by Susan Fisher Palace.

Susan Palace is one of Atlanta’s most experienced yoga teachers. She has been studying yoga since 1985 and teaching since 1990.

She is a nationally recognized expert on teaching relaxation and visualization as a way to achieve success in all areas of life: work, school, family, health, ideal weight, and sleep.

With training in Anusara, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Bikrim, Kripalu, Viniyoga, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy and YogaKids, Susan can accommodate student needs and customize programs for individual success.

Susan developed her passion for teaching these mind/body techniques in 1985 when as a “stressed out” Marketing Director for Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas she gained 30 pounds, suffered from stress-related skin rashes, and was getting sick so often that her work was beginning to suffer.

Today, the techniques Susan teaches literally transformed her life from that time. She was able to handle rush hour traffic, office frustrations and daily stressors with much more grace, ease and dignity. Her health gradually improved and she was able to lose the weight she had gained without stress or dieting and her health improved holistically.

Susan has taught her Executive Stretch program and Relax for Success workshops at IBM, ISS, Datalex, Home Depot, Northside Hospital, YMCA, at numerous community centers, churches, synagogues, and schools. She teaches adult and children’s classes at Sports A Rama in East Cobb. Her private clients include doctors, lawyers, sales professionals, and business executives.

In 2002 Susan began teaching yoga to children. Inspired by a workshop conducted by
YogaKids® founder Marsha Wenig, Susan became passionate about teaching these powerful tools she wished she had when she was young. After observing the positive results relaxation and visualization had on her students and her own children, Susan created her guided imagery audio CD, KidVisions. Susan has been married to Andy Palace since 1990 and has 2 children who provide constant inspiration.

Susan received her MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and worked in the healthcare field for 10 years prior to founding her business. She has numerous teacher training certificates and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and an Integrative Yoga Therapist (IYT).

She has studied with John Friend, David Swenson, Rodney Yee, Erich Schiffman, Amrit Desai, Stephan Cope, Shiva Ray, Seane Corne, Marsha Wenig, Mitchell Blier, Donna Farhi, David Life, Johnny Kest, Kathleen Pringle, Mary Dunn, Steve Ross, Ganga White and Tracy Rich and many others.
